2018 – Incentive or Group Trip Piedmont

Piedmont has everything you need for an intense and long-lasting experience. Why does this region have more to offer than the other regions of Italy? We will explain this in great detail in this article.

As a native Flemish with 20 years of experience in organising events and incentives in the Benelux, I can perfectly assess what you, as an entrepreneur, consider important to your customers or staff. I also know the limitations and the strengths of Piedmont, as I've been working here for 11 years. This also means that I know what is legally allowed and not allowed during an event. I always get the best out of every business relationship I have here, to offer your group a unique trip. Everything revolves around 'experience'. But I also take into account the budget and goal of the trip. Which is why I always strive to offer the best experience, one you will still remember after your event/incentive/group trip, without saddling you with unexpected costs.

Below you will find an example programme.

2 to 3 days programme

Day 1

The Turin airport is perfect for the Langhe-Roero area. But if you wish to leave in the morning and return late at night, it would be better to take one of the airports around Milan (Malpensa, Linate, Bergamo). You will be travelling a little longer from one of the respective airports to your final destination, but thanks to our creativity we managed to fill this time with various activities. Among which, an extraordinary visit to a wine domain on the way. You can visit this website for more information: http://www.montalbera.it/gallery.

We will enjoy our lunch with a panoramic 360 degree view of the vineyards in a valley that is mainly visited by the locals. 'Tourist traps' are not our thing. That is why we work directly with all our business partners, without the interference of third parties.

After lunch we will go trekking in the vineyards of Barbaresco with an athletic top wine journalist. So beware, because taking a small nap in the vineyard would definitely not be part of his plan. And of course, we will end this trip with a nice glass of Barbaresco. Also on our programme will be a visit to the mammas of the region who earn their living by producing regional dishes and products, and distributing them in shops and restaurants. So you will be at the source of one of the most sought-after artisanal slow food producers.

After these delightful experience moments, we will head towards Cherasco. Here you will learn some history and culture, because Cherasco is connected to Napoleon, lumache, Aqua di Cherasco and Arco Trionfale. We will finish this trip with a visit to the Pasticceria Barbero, where you can taste some delicious chocolate in an 1880s setting.

What is the greatest advantage for your travel party? You will not need any transportation to dine in the evening, because Cherasco has three renowned gourmet restaurants within a 15-minute walk from your hotel. There is, for example, the particularly popular slow food restaurant, where you will dine the first evening and enjoy an all-in menu, including wine and water. As stipulated earlier, your budget will not be exceeded.

Day 2

For your second day, we suggest a tour by Vespa, old-timer or just the VIP shuttle. But keep in mind, a tour by Vespa does not include a lunch with wine, as you will have to be sober. What will you discover on your VIP tour? Find it out by watching this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoUr2FJNvEE. This day is really all about the Barolo region. You will visit a grissini baker and make some together with him; learn everything there is to know about truffles; and at the end of the tour, you will stop by a Barolo winegrower of nobility. This visit will be one of the key moments, as you will get to take a look in his magnificent palazzo, where you will be greatly impressed by the art, atmosphere, authenticity of the building and its owner. You will also get the chance to enjoy Barolo of various vintages in his atmospheric tasting room, or if the weather is good in the historic garden. Furthermore, this tasting will offer you more than just wine. You will also get to see his wine cellar that is an absolute authenticity.

Barolo only comes into its own when it's tasted with local delicacies and your noble host will have some pleasant surprises in store for you... Again, the most important advantage is that this wine domain is located within walking distance of the hotel, so you won't have to worry about any alcohol control.

Before your dinner in one of the most talked-about Michelin-starred restaurants in the region, you can freshen up in your hotel, which is within walking distance of the restaurant. Here you will enjoy an eight-course menu with wine pairings.

Day 3

If you want to stay another day in this region, you can choose Roero. We can offer you a hands-on culinary experience with a top chef, or an authentic programme with a visit to artisanal slow food workshops and wine producers that are very different from those we visited in the first and second day. You can also spend half a day in Turin visiting Eataly and Museo del l'Auto, or just sightseeing, and finishing with a local appetiser.

Or if your budget allows it, there are more luxurious activities, like a balloon ride and a christening with Alta Langa, VIP Ferrari and Lamborghini rides, visits to more exclusive wineries such as GAJA, and so on.

With the activities we provide and the efforts of all our partners, you will certainly have a unique experience.
