  • Incentive Package in Liguria

The capital of Liguria is Genoa, also known as the largest port in Italy. Walking through Genoa will give you an incredible sight of show-piece buildings. The queen of all buildings is without a doubt the Cattedrale di San Lorenzo, with a stunning treasury. Furthermore several medieval churches and a collection of late Renaissance palaces are worth visiting..

But Liguria is not only Genoa. The scenery in the whole region is superb: fishing villages, vineyards and mountains including the Monte di Portofino, which offers great views over the sea. There are many chic resorts situated along the coast, including Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure.

San Remo, which is a center of the Italian flower industry, its hillsides covered in glasshouses is also home to the annual Italian Music festival. The region does not lack in prestigious and charming venues for meetings and gala dinners.

Ligurian cooks rely on the sea, yet their skills shine with produce from the steep hillsides: pale golden olive oil, garden greens, meats and poultry, mushrooms, nuts, herbs, the ingredients for the sauces they call tocchi (touches), above all basil and garlic for the glorious green pesto

This region is reached very easily by the airport in Genoa.

    Suggestion 1: Liguria discovery tour

Arrival in Genua, a city with a lot of activity, which we however only will experience for a short time, for the goal of our trip is not the big city but rather the exceptional nature and colourful architecture. The coastline, the five fishing villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage.

Take the shuttleboat from village to village, lunch in a restaurant situated at the top of a rock with beautiful view, and taste the local wine.

Next stop is mundane Portofino. Enjoy the beautiful sunset as you sip an aperitif from an American bar on a boat in the water… Dinner in luxury hotel-restaurant Cenobio dei Dogi in Camogli, renowned village on the Ligurian Riviera overlooking the crystal clear waters of the Golfo Paradiso.

The next day, you learn all about the secrets of the Ligurian kitchen during a hands-on cooking workshop and will enjoy lunch you have just prepared. After visiting the wonderful fisherman port of Camogli we offer you a surprise trip in the Golfo Paradiso.

Suggestion 2: Cinque Terre National Park

A programme focused on visiting the five villages, part of the Cinque Terre National Park : Riomaggiore, Vernazza, Monterosso, Manarola, and Corniglia. This zone is characterized by the presence of typical steep slopes cultivated with vines thanks to terraces. Visit at the Cinque Terre Wine Growers Cooperative. You will be looking at the different vineyard growing and wine production phases with tasting of the Sciacchetrà wine and Monterosso anchovies.

Suggestion 3: The 15 wine and food routes

Liguria has 15 themed routes dedicated to traditional local products : Triora bread, Pigna white beans, Taggia olives, Albenga’s violet asparangus, Val Bormida’s fazzini, cheese, canestrelletto of Torriglia, la Farinata, … in brief : a paradise for the Italian food lovers !

Suggestion 4: Genova in one day

History and culture are well represented in Genova : Piazza De Ferrari, Duomo di San Lorenzo, Porto Antico, Palazzo Ducale, … plenty to see. But if you want to escape this busy city, you can always enjoy lunch or dinner in Camogli.

    Suggestion 5: Culinary Liguria

A chef cook introduces you in the Ligurian kitchen during a cooking workshop. The best place to get the most fresh ingredients is the local market, so in the early morning you go shopping with him and learn all about the typical Italian products. Some of his recipes are : trenette al pesto, bagnùn di acciughe, Cappon Magro and dessert Camoglese dolce. Each menu is accompagnied by the most suitable Ligurian wine, in combination with wine tastings.
