Meeting and Incentive Package in Sicily

The  isle of Sicily is blessed with a mild climate during the entire year. Not only is it the largest region in Italy, it is also the largest island in the Mediterranean. Sicily is a real touristic draw because of the main cities Catania and Palermo and the smaller cities Noto, Ragusa, Erice, Syracuse and Agrigento with small villages and seaside resorts in between.

This land was coveted by all of the major civilizations considering its strategic position in the Mediterranean. The town of Mazara del Vallo is a perfect example of this diversity: the city walls are Norman, there are numerous Catholic churches as well as an Arab quarter. In addition to its rich flora and deep blue sea, Sicily has an extremely important geographical attraction -the volcano Etna.

The variety of the region offers a multitude of possibilities for incentives activities: important museums and archaeological sites, nautical sports but also extreme sports allowing for the creation of true adventures! The receptive structures are just as varied as the island. There are top of the line 5 star properties to excellent 4 star conference hotels, farm and country houses to ancient Noble Palaces. Many of these also feature spas. They provide exceptional settings for your business meetings and in cities such as Taormina, Erice, Catania, Palermo or Acireale, some of the most important international meetings are organized year.

Just to mention some of the Sicilian specialities: pasta con le sarde (with sardines and wild fennel, though versions vary from place to place), pasta alla norma (with eggplant and ricotta), the famous caponata ( a sort of ratatouille) and for dessert il canolo and the cassata siciliana. Just some of the excellent wines: Etna rosso e bianco, Nero d'Avola, Cresuolo di Vittoria, Malvasia di Lipari, Mascato di Pantelleria, Marsala.
